Malaysia will construct the highest fire and rescue station on Mount Kinabalu.
The highest fire and rescue station in the world will be constructed on Mount Kinabalu by the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).
According to Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, the documentation phase of the process to create the station on South-east Asia’s highest mountain has thus far been completed.
The site is a World Heritage Site, so a number of tasks must be completed before construction on the fire station can begin.
When finished, it will make it simpler for the Mosar team to execute operations in the event of any unfavourable situations on Mount Kinabalu. The crew is now headquartered at the Ranau fire station.
After the Mt. Kinabalu earthquake on June 5, 2015, Mosar was created.
After four and a half months of training at the Fire and Rescue Academy of Malaysia, Sabah Region, 148 new Fire Officers participated in the Fire Science Certificate Passing Out Parade series 01/2022 earlier at the ceremony.
