The i-Lindung programme was formally introduced by the KWSP. The EPF’s second saving account can be used by members under this plan to pay for insurance.
To give the people access to insurance cover, the government launched i-Lindung. Many people do not currently have insurance.
FWD Takaful, Prudential Assurance, Prudential BSN Takaful Bhd, Etiqa Life Insurance, and Etiqa Family Takaful Bhd are the insurance and takaful businesses that are a part of this plan.
In the first year, the i-Lindung scheme is anticipated to attract 300,000 new members, according to the KWSP. From this point forward, members can purchase protection for RM10,000 for a minimum of RM30 per year, with the premium being deducted from the EPF’s second account.
