For your protection, banks have regulations that freeze your Online Banking account when you do not log into your Online Banking account for a specific period of time.
Each bank has a different time limit, for example, Maybank has to log in at least once every 6 months, Public Bank has to log in once every 6 months and Hong Leong Bank has to log in once every 3 months.
If your Online Banking account has not been logged in for more than 1 year, it will be cancelled and you will need to reapply. For those whose Online Banking account is frozen, you can choose to reset your password or call the bank’s hotline to activate Online Banking.
If you rarely use Online Banking, it is recommended that you do not activate Online Banking.
The public is urged not to enter their Online Banking information on unknown apps or web pages to avoid theft of their deposits.
