From August 20, Hong Leong Bank Cardholders will get the card changing notifications via the HLB Connect APP.
Cardholders of Hong Leong Bank, take note! You will only get card changing alerts through the HLB Connect APP starting from August 20!
According to a press release from Hong Leong Bank, the bank will no longer alert customers of card changing through SMS; instead, it will only do so via the HLB Connect APP.
Users are encouraged to create an HLB Connect APP account in order to receive card changing notifications more simply and securely starting on August 20, 2022, when this measure will go into effect. Email alerts of card changing will no longer be issued by Hong Leong Bank.
From 1 July to 31 July 2022, Hong Leong Bank will run a promotion where the first 300 newly registered users will receive a daily RM20 cash refund in an effort to entice users to download the HLB Connect APP.
In recent years, a number of domestic banks have started to discontinue their SMS notification services one by one in favour of the HLB Connect APP’s notification feature.
