The amount of BKM aid will be increased.

The Prime Minister announced that he will increase the distribution of BKM aid, which will begin on June 27 for B40 low-income groups.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri will hold a press conference at 4 p.m. on June 22, 2022. The Prime Minister announced at the press conference that he will increase the distribution of Malaysian Family Aid (BKM Tambahan), of B40 low-income families receiving an additional RM100 and single people receiving an additional RM50.

The government’s additional BKM aid will be distributed along with the second-stage BKM aid that was originally scheduled to be distributed in June, which means that all BKM recipients will be able to directly receive this additional aid. On Monday, June 27, 2022, the general public will be able to check their bank accounts.

BKM assistance amount in the second stage (+RM100 / +RM50)

1. Families with monthly income not more than RM2500 (59 years old or below)
No child: RM200 + RM100
1, 2 children: RM300 + RM100
3 children or above: RM400 + RM100

2. Families with monthly income of RM2501-RM5000 (59 years old or below)
No child: RM100 + RM100
1, 2 children: RM100 + RM100
3 children or above: RM100 + RM100

3. Families with monthly income not more than RM2500 (60 years old or above)
No child: RM200 + RM100
1, 2 children: RM300 + RM100
3 children or above: RM400 + RM100

4. Families with monthly income of RM2501-RM5000 (60 years old or above)
No child: RM100 + RM100
1, 2 children: RM100 + RM100
3 children or above: RM100 + RM100

5. Families with monthly income not more than RM2500 (single-parent families with children)
1, 2 children: RM300 + RM100
3 children or above: RM400 + RM100

6. Families with monthly income of RM2501-RM5000 (single-parent families with children)
1, 2 children: RM100 + RM100
3 children or above: RM100 + RM100

7. Widowed/single seniors with monthly income not more than RM5000
Age 60 and above: RM150 + RM50

8. Singles with monthly income not more than RM2500
Age 21 and above: +RM50
