Government is considering lowering the minimum age limit for VDL to allow school graduates over the age of 18 to join the ranks of take-away riders and earn extra income!

According to Transport Minister, the government is considering lowering the minimum age limit to obtain a professional license for couriers and delivery riders from the current 21 years old to 18 years old.

Once the government lowers the minimum age limit for obtaining an occupational license to 18, high school graduates will be able to earn an income by working as couriers and delivery workers while waiting for SPM results to be released.

The two-year epidemic has led to a boom in the delivery and meal delivery industry, with young people joining the ranks of delivery and meal carriers, who are popular in both urban and suburban areas. However, only those over the age of 21 can currently obtain a professional license, which leaves many high school graduates out of the loop.

It is worth noting that the government is only considering lowering the age limit for professional licenses for delivery and food delivery workers.
