Floods in Miri is affecting 523 residents of the Long Bemang longhouse.
Floods have harmed 523 people in the 100-door Long Bemang longhouse, which has been flooded since last Thursday.
However, Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) acting chief Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee stated that the situation was under control and that no evacuation was required at this time.
As of 3.30 p.m. (Sunday), information obtained indicated that the flood water level in the area was one foot high and rising.
The electricity supply in the affected region has also been turned off, according to Ahmad Nizam, for the safety of the residents.
