According to foreign media reports, the plane was lost contact shortly after take-off on the 29th. Authorities announced on the 30th that the remains of 22 bodies had been recovered and all crew members were dead, with no survivors.
The plane was scheduled to take off at 9.55am on the 29th from the famous tourist city of Pokhara to Zomsom in Nepal’s Mustang region, but the plane was lost shortly after take-off. A total of 19 passengers, including 13 Nepalese, 4 Indians, 2 Germans and 3 crew members, were reportedly on board. Military personnel found the wreckage of the plane a day later and have been recovering the remains of the victims one by one.
According to the Nepalese Army, searchers found pieces of the aircraft on a hillside in Sanosville, and Mushtang Tasang II also had aircraft parts from 9NAET. Searchers later recovered the remains of 21 victims on the same day, and on 31 May the remains of the last victim were found along with the plane’s black box.
