According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is testing a new feature that allows users to edit messages they have already sent. Users who find a typo in a sent message will be able to re-send it without having to delete it.
For those who often make typos, every time they find a typo, they delete or resend it. If WhatsApp introduces the feature of editing sent messages, users can edit the messages directly when they find a typo, so they don’t have to bother with resending.
When you want to edit a message you have sent, you can long press on the message, and then you can select the option in the upper right corner and click Edit to edit the message.
It is understood that this feature is still in the development stage, and users cannot view the message before editing it after editing the sent message, which may cause some disputes and misunderstandings.
It has not been determined when this feature will be officially pushed out to users.
