31% of Malaysian children were fully vaccinated.

As of yesterday, 1,099,250 children aged five to eleven years had finished the vaccine under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids), accounting for 31% of the country’s population.

According to the CovidNow website, 1,665,098 children have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 46.9% of the population.

A total of 2,908,320 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have completed the Covid-19 immunisation, accounting for 93.5 percent of their population, while 3,005,192 have gotten at least one dose, accounting for 96.6 percent.

Meanwhile, 68.3 %, or 16,077,473 people, have received the booster dosage, while 22,972,457 people (97.6%) have completed two doses of the vaccination and 23,248,351 people (98.8%) have received at least one dose.

A total of 20,998 doses of the vaccine were administered yesterday, with 7,695 doses administered as the first dose, 11,286 doses administered as the second dose, and 2,017 doses administered as a booster dose, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 70,762,530. Five deaths due to Covid-19 were reported in Malaysia yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, with two deaths in Johor and one each in Perak, Penang, and Selangor.
