BKM is a government assistance scheme that aims to alleviate the burden of the low-income group. Families with a monthly income of up to RM5000 and single persons with a monthly income of up to RM2500 are eligible for the assistance.
Families with a monthly income of up to RM2500 are eligible to receive RM200 to RM400 in June. Households with a monthly income of RM2501 to RM5000 will receive RM100 in June. Elderly or widowed persons aged 60 years or above with a monthly income of up to RM5000 will receive RM150 in June.
Single persons aged 21 or above with a monthly income of up to RM2500 will not receive the BKM in June and this group will have to wait until September to receive the remaining RM150.
The Government has not yet announced the exact dates for the payment of Phase 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4.
Phase 2 BKM payment amounts
1. Households with a monthly income not exceeding RM2500 (59 years old or below)
No children: RM200
1 or 2 children: RM300
3 children or above: RM400
2. Monthly Income RM2501-RM5000 (59 years old or below)
No children: RM100
1 or 2 children: RM100

3. Households earning up to RM2500 per month (60 years or above)

Age 60 years or above: RM150
