Apple has officially added the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 2 to its list of obsolete products and will no longer offer repair coverage for these products in the future. Apple has stopped selling the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 2 for five years.
Apple will include products that have been discontinued for five years in the list of obsolete products. Apple will still offer repair services for products on the list, but it must be subject to the condition of the part, which means it will no longer offer repair coverage.
The iPad Air 2 was introduced by Apple in October 2014 when it was the first iPad to use Touch ID. iPad Air 2 is powered by the A8X processor.
The iPad mini 2, known as the Retina iPad mini, was introduced in 2013 and features the A7 processor, although it does not support Touch ID.
