Primary schools students will return to school on April 17 or 18 and they will have another nine days of holidays for Hari Raya.

Physical education classes will resume in all primary schools across the country on April 17 or 18, and students will no longer have to take turns returning to school.

Primary schools around the country will return to school collectively, rather than on a rotational basis, according to the Ministry of Education a few days ago. On the 17th and 18th of April, the policy will go into force.

From 17 April 2022, all primary schools in Group A states (Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu) will reopen. From April 18, 2022, primary schools in Group B states (other states) will also return to school collectively.

Previously, the Ministry of Education allowed primary school grades one, two, and six to return to school together, but grades two through five were still alternated. Schools with more than 600 students may also return to class as a group. According to the Ministry of Education’s newest declaration, primary schools across the country will no longer offer online classes and would instead return to school overall.

Two weeks after the collective return to school, primary schools will start a nine-day school holiday. The dates for Hari Raya 2022 are likely to be May 3 and 4. The school will be closed for nine days, from April 29 or 30 to May 7 or 8, for a total of nine days off. The Labor Day holiday, Hari Raya holiday, and weekly holiday are all included in the 9-day holiday.
