WhatsApp has announced the launch of Communities!
According to the official information released by WhatsApp, the Communities feature will help users to manage various groups, allowing them to bring together various types of groups into one large community.
Here’s an example to make it easier to understand how communities work. For example, a school principal can bring all parents and students together in one community and divide them into classes and grades.
The management of a company can also add all employees to a WhatsApp community and then sort the groups according to the department they belong to.
Communities will provide administrators with powerful new tools, including the ability to send announcement messages to everyone and control which groups can be included in the community.
In addition, WhatsApp will also introduce the following new features
1. Reactions – Emoji reactions will be available in WhatsApp, allowing people to quickly share their opinions without having to post a lot of new messages in the chat.
2. Admin Deletion – Group admins will be able to delete incorrect or problematic messages from everyone’s chat.
3. File Sharing – We’re adding file sharing capabilities to support files up to 2 GB, making it easy for people to collaborate on projects.
4. Larger Voice Calls – We’re rolling out one-click voice calls for up to 32 people with a new design for use cases where real-time conversations are better than chats.
