SMS TAC vs Secure2u, which is more safe?

According to the news issued by Maybank, Maybank users will be able to verify the registration process through Secure2u when registering for DuitNow. This measure will be effective from 12 April 2022. Previously, users would only receive SMS TACs when registering for DuitNow or changing the settings for various transfers. With this upgrade from Maybank, users will be able to validate transactions directly with Secure2u. Secure2u is a security verification feature introduced by Maybank that allows users to receive a verification pop-up directly on the Maybank APP when making transactions or changing various account settings. Users can simply click on Approve or Reject in the pop-up to complete the transaction. Secure2u is more secure than SMS TAC because it can only be used on phones that have been authenticated. Those phones that have not been authenticated will not be able to use your Secure2u.
