About 164k children have been fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, 164,375 children aged five to eleven, or 4.6% of the country’s population, had received the Covid-19 vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children (PICKids).
According to the CovidNow website, a total of 1,368,326 children in this age range have gotten at least one dose of the vaccine, accounting for 38.5 percent.
A total of 2,862,105 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the vaccination, representing 92 percent, and 2,963,947 have received at least one dose of the vaccine, representing 95.3 percent.
In the adult population, 15,933,049 people, or 67.7% of the population, have received the booster shot, whereas 22,957,974 people, or 97.6%, have finished both doses of the vaccination and 23,235,033 people, or 98.8%, have received at least one dose.
Yesterday, a total of 46,823 vaccine doses were provided, with 32,183 being the second dose, 10,180 being the booster, and 4,460 being the first dose, bringing the total number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 69,272,251.
Meanwhile, 19 deaths due to Covid-19 were recorded across Malaysia yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, with Selangor continuing to have the most cases with four, followed by Johor, Kedah, Pahang, Perak, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur with two each.
Each of the three states of Melaka, Penang, and Terengganu reported one case.
