Malaysia reported 30 new Covid-19 deaths yesterday (March 3), bringing the total to 35,099, including 11 pre-hospital deaths (BID), for a total of 7,408.
The data showed that the new deaths on Sunday were 1 in Johor, 7 in Kedah, 3 in Kelantan, 1 in Malacca, 1 in Negeri Sembilan, 2 in Pahang, 7 in Perak, 2 in Penang and 1 in Sarawak. 3 cases in Selangor, 1 case in Terengganu and 1 case in Kuala Lumpur.
There were no new deaths in Perlis, Sabah, Labuan and Putrajaya.
In addition, 20,635 people have recovered in the past day, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 4,018,421.
Active cases decreased by 8,285 to 192,947, of which 188,534 (97.7%) were in home isolation, 478 (0.2%) were admitted to a low-risk isolation and treatment centre (PKRC), 3,682 (1.9%) were hospitalized, and 96 people (0.0%) were in intensive care, of which 157 (0.1%) required respirator.
Malaysia recorded 12,380 new cases on the day, bringing the total nationwide to 4,246,467.
