As part of his ‘Justice’ world tour, Justin Bieber will perform in Bukit Jalil on October 22.
On October 22, Canadian artist Justin Bieber will perform at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium as part of his Justice World Tour, marking the country’s comeback to international live events.
This follows the federal government’s announcement on April 1 that international crossings will reopen as it switches to treating Covid-19 as an endemic disease rather than a pandemic, two years after they were closed on March 18, 2020.
It’s weird that we’re finally able to make this announcement after a two-year hiatus. According to Para R, general director of PR Worldwide Sdn Bhd, “we are thrilled to deliver the highly anticipated Justice World Tour to Malaysian fans this October.”
The show is being promoted by local promoter PR Worldwide Sdn Bhd in partnership with AEG Presents in the United States.
PR Worldwide and AEG are taking all necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment at our events, not just for event employees, artists, and crew, but also for attendees.
Access to the event can now be made secure and seamless thanks to the integration of digital ticketing, immunisation, and testing standards using Mobile App technology,” said Para.
The Justice World Tour is titled after Justin Bieber’s most recent album, Justice, which was released in April 2021 and became the most-streamed album in 117 countries upon its launch, according to organisers, gathering over nine billion streams on internet platforms globally.
So date, six singles from the album have been released, including the Grammy-nominated Peaches.
The tour was supposed to start on May 14, 2020, but owing to the pandemic, it had to be rescheduled multiple times. It ultimately began on February 18 in San Diego, California, United States.
Currently on tour in North America, the former teen idol will soon be appearing in Asian destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo.
We’ve put in a lot of effort to put together the best concert we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait to share it with fans all over the world. Bieber said, “I’ll see you soon.”
Tickets will go on sale on March 31, with prices ranging from RM288 to RM1,088.
Bieber last visited Malaysia in 2012, when he performed on the MTV World Live Stage in Malaysia, which was held at Sunway Lagoon in Subang Jaya.
