Worse than WeChat? A professor found that a phone call was also stolen by Google data!

23/03/2022

As long as you are using Google’s official software, will you be stolen by Google?

According to the authoritative report of foreign media, a professor from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, said he found evidence that Google Dialer and Google Messages were stealing users’ personal data and uploading them to Google. It is known that when a user makes a phone call through Google Dialer or sends a text message through Google Messages, Google will upload the user’s information to Google Play Services Clearcut and Google Firebase Analytics for analysis!

Professor Douglas Leith said that he found out when he made a call that Google would upload to Google’s analysis system when the user made the call and the length of the call. The professor said that, without informing the user, Google’s behaviour is obviously a violation of the European privacy law GDRP, and said that at this stage, there are hundreds of millions of people using Google’s software, so there are hundreds of millions of people’s data for Google to steal!

At present, the professor has contacted Google authorities to ask Google to comply with the European privacy law GDRP and make corresponding changes, and Google has also agreed to make corresponding initiatives.
