Booster doses have been given to over 66 percent of Malaysian adults.

As of yesterday, the Covid-19 booster dose had been given to 15,507,221 people in Malaysia, accounting for 65.9% of the population.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 22,944,111 people (or 97.5%) have completed the Covid-19 immunisation, with 23,220,067 people (or 98.7%) receiving at least one dose.

A total of 2,844,722 adolescents aged 12 to 17 have finished the immunisation, representing 91.4 percent of the population, and 2,942,850 have received at least one dose of the vaccine, or 94.6 percent of the population.

Under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children, a total of 1,267,491 children aged five to eleven years have received the first dose of the vaccine, accounting for 35.7 percent of the country’s population (PICKids).

A total of 28,360 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 4,848 being the initial dose, 1,651 being the second dose, and 21,861 being the booster dosage, increasing the total number of vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,515,709.

Meanwhile, 63 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, with Johor registering the greatest number of 14 deaths, followed by Selangor (13), Perak (12), and Kedah (12). (four).

Penang, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur each had three deaths, Melaka, Sabah, and Terengganu each had two, and Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perlis, and Labuan each had one.
