In Malaysia, Covid-19 booster doses were provided to about 15.4 million individuals.

As of yesterday, 15,425,524 people, or 65.6 percent of the adult population in the country, have gotten the Covid-19 booster dose.

According to the CovidNow website, a total of 22,940,801 people (or 97.5%) were fully vaccinated, while 23,216,630 people (or 98.7%) received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme for Children, a total of 1,221,990 children aged five to eleven have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, accounting for 34.4 percent of the group (PICKids).

In the case of teenagers aged 12 to 17, a total of 2,841,412 people, or 91.3 percent of the population, were fully vaccinated, with 2,940,403 people, or 94.5 percent, receiving at least one dose.

A total of 46,039 vaccine doses were given out yesterday, with 13,256 being first doses, 2,166 being second doses, and 30,617 being booster doses, bringing the total vaccine doses given out under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) to 68,376,641.

Meanwhile, 86 deaths due to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub page, with Perak reporting the most cases (16), followed by Selangor with 14 cases, Kedah with ten, Melaka with eight, and Johor with seven (seven).

Six instances were reported in Kelantan, Penang, Sabah, and Terengganu, four in Negri Sembilan, two in Pahang, and one in Kuala Lumpur.
