The Meteorological Department issued an orange (severe) warning for parts of Terengganu, Pahang and Johor earlier today, with rains expected to continue till Saturday (26th). Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Dungun, Kemaman, Jerantut, Kuantan, Pekan, Rompin and Mersing are among the affected areas.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also placed several states and territories in the peninsula as yellow alert areas. These include Kelantan, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Middle Perak, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Lower Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala and Marang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran and Bera) and Johor (Tangkak , Segamat, Batu Pahat, Muar, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru)! Rain will continue to fall in these areas until Saturday.
