The two new European original films, “30 Coins” and “Kamikaze”, will present different forms of fear. “30 Coins” leads the audience to feel the supernatural phenomenon brought full of chills, while “Kamikaze” allows everyone to accompany the protagonist to experience the grief of losing a loved one.
30 COINS, directed and co-written by renowned Spanish horror master Lex de la Iglesia, transports viewers to a bizarre horror world.The play is set in Rome, Paris, New York, Jerusalem, Geneva, and other locations, with filming across the whole of Spain.
The plot revolves around Father Vergara, an exorcist sent to the remote town of Pedraza, Spain. However, the unusual birth of a child indicates that Vergara’s powerful enemies have discovered his whereabouts and have vowed not to spare him, or the entire population of the village.
The only solution is a coin in Vergara’s possession, one of thirty cursed coins, and Vergara will join an alliance between Elena, a local veterinarian, and Paco, the town mayor, in an attempt to learn the secrets of Vergara’s past and drive this treacherous force out of the community. A total of 8 episodes of “Coin of Descent” will be available in its entirety exclusively on HBO GO on Thursday, February 24.

Kamikaze is an adaptation of the novel Muleum by Norwegian author Erlend Loe, based on the theme of losing a loved one at a young age, drowning in guilt, fear, and helplessness, and finally seeing the light from the darkness and finding the meaning of life.
The film had its world premiere at Series Mania in Lille, France, where the lead actress won the Best Actress award in the international competition, and will be available exclusively on HBO GO on Thursday, March 3, with all eight episodes in one go.
