This weekend, EPF could announce the newest dividend details!
In February of each year, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will disclose the most recent dividend payout details. The EPF will announce dividends on the third Saturday in February, according to past years’ payout dates. The third Saturday in February comes this weekend, February 19.
The EPF is expected to announce the dividend this weekend (19th February), and then close branches early and perform system maintenance on the afternoon of February 18th (Friday) to complete the dividend calculation.
Members can examine the number of dividends they have received using i-Akaun the same day after the EPF releases the payouts.
The EPF postponed the announcement of dividends until February 27 because the Chinese Lunar New Year in 2021 fell on February 12 last year. In 2020, the dividend will be announced on February 22, 2019, the dividend on February 16, 2019, and the dividend on February 10, 2018, respectively. On February 18, 2017, dividends were declared, and on February 21, 2016, dividends were declared.
The CPF payout ratio is estimated to be between 5.20 percent and 6 percent this year. The CPF will get a higher dividend payout this year than it did last year, which was 5.20 percent.
