It is known that although there are up to 29 companies from various fields applying for this e-banking license, only 5 e-banking licenses will be issued by Bank Negara Malaysia. This means that out of these 29 applicants, only 5 companies will be successful in their applications.
For the companies that applied, it is known that Grab, Axiata, RHB, Genting, Star Media Group, YTL and Sunway are among the well-known companies that are interested in applying for this e-banking license, which shows that the e-banking license is a very popular project. At the same time, e-banking is also expected to speed up the e-banking of existing banks.
In any case, as soon as March, Malaysia will start to enjoy e-banking!
