According to Minister of International Trade and Industry, two new airlines have been approved to operate in Malaysia, SKS Airways and MYAirline, both of which will start flying in January.
SKS Airways, airline of SKS Group in Johor, will commence operations from January 25 and will offer flights from Subang to Pangkor Island.
MYAirline, which is headed by a number of senior aviation leaders, will commence service from January 1, 2022, with a 12-month license valid from January 1 to December 31, 2022.
Previously AirAsia is the largest low-cost airline in the country, AirAsia has been severely affected by the epidemic and AirAsia’s shares have been listed in the PN17 by Malaysian Securities Commission.
The so-called PN17 is the abbreviation of Practice Note 17/2005, the main market (Main Market) listed companies that face financial difficulties or violate specific regulations will be included in the PN17 ranks.
