TNB plans to open its first electric vehicle charging station in 2023!
According to the news issued by National Energy (TNB), its subsidiary Tenaga Switchgear plans to take the lead in opening the first TNB electric vehicle charging station in Bangsar in 2023. The electric vehicle charging station will be powered by solar power, which means solar panels will be placed on top of the building.
From the concept map issued by TNB, the charging station will be similar to the current gas station. One charging station will have multiple charging piles, allowing multiple electric vehicles to be powered at the same time, and there will be small shops selling retail food.
Users will be able to pay the charging fee with a credit or debit card. TNB has not yet announced the charging fees for electric vehicles.
TNB’s Tenaga Switchgear will also install fast-charging stations with a maximum output of 120kW at its headquarters in Kota Damansara.
