MySejahtera has launched a new feature, which is MySJ Trace.
The new version of MySejahtera will add new features of MySJ Trace. MySJ Trace is mainly to allow the Ministry of Health to obtain timely access to people who have close contact with the diagnosed person and inform users in time.
MySJ Trace will exchange information with other MySejahtera users around via the Bluetooth of the mobile phone. Once the user is determined to be a confirmed person with covid-19, the MySJ Trace system will automatically collect the information of other users around and upload it to the Ministry of Health. In this way, the Ministry of Health will be able to timely grasp the information of people who are in close contact with the positive covid-19 person.
The Ministry of Health will notify users through SMS and MySejahtera Notification that they are in close contact with the confirmed cases and take necessary preventive measures.
Users can update MySejahtera to the latest version, and then they can see a MySJ Trace function with a black background on the Check-in page of MySejahtera. The user can click and activate the MySJ Trace function.
After activating the MySJ Trace function, the user must turn on the Bluetooth and location functions of the mobile phone and grant usage permissions so that the mobile phone can exchange information with other MySejahtera users around. MySJ Trace will only collect user ID information, mobile phone system, contact time, and received signal strength indicator (RSSI).
Currently, MySJ Trace supports mobile phones with Android 8 or above, as well as mobile phones with iOS 10 or above. Android phone users need to set MySJ Trace to a non-sleep state, while Apple phone users need to ensure that MySJ Trace is active.
