The continuous rainfall warning issued by the Meteorological Department at 11:30am on December 19 has been cancelled. This means that there will be no more continuous heavy rainfall in Perak, Selangor and the East Coast region.

It is understood that the rare flooding was caused by a continuous rain and high tide of the sea. Selangor received more than 380 mm of rain yesterday, already more than twice the previous rainfall record (180 mm).
