You can report unreasonable price hikes to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs on WhatsApp!

Recently, the prices of vegetables, chicken, seafood, and daily necessities are all increasing, and if you find that businesses are making unreasonable profits, you can file a complaint with the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs.

 

According to the news issued by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), people can report to the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Affairs directly through WhatsApp if they find that the merchants are profiteering or increasing the prices of goods unreasonably.

 

The Department has set up a dedicated WhatsApp for complaints, where you can send photos, prices, locations, etc. to 019-279 4317. The Department will investigate further upon receipt of the complaint.

 

Liquefied natural gas, 1kg packages of cooking oil, and sugar are all considered to be TDS products. You can also report to the DTI if you find that a trader is selling above the Tariff price.

1KG packed cooking oil: RM2.50

1KG bottled cooking oil: RM6.70*

2KG bottled cooking oil:RM12.70*

3KG bottled cooking oil:RM18.70*

5KG Bottled Cooking Oil: RM29.70*

10KG household LNG: RM19.00

12KG household LNG: RM22.80

14KG household LNG: RM26.60

*Only for pure palm cooking oil, not applicable to mixed cooking oil
