Celcom will shut down its 3G network in Johor, Melaka and parts of Negeri Sembilan in the next 2 weeks.
According to Celcom, the Celcom 3G network in Johor, Melaka and parts of Negeri Sembilan will be shut down from November 22 to December 6. Users are urged to upgrade their SIM cards and devices to use the 4G network as soon as possible.
The 3G network across Malaysia will be shut down on December 31, 2021 and people are urged to use VoLTE-enabled handsets to avoid disruption of voice calls. After the shutdown of the 3G network, people who use a non-VoLTE enabled phone to make calls will automatically be downgraded to use the 2G network.
