Johor and Terengganu students will head back to school from November 8!

Each state has a 2-week buffer period when entering the new phase of recovery, which means that schools will adopt the resumption guidelines for the new phase of recovery only after 2 weeks. The government announced that Johor and Terengganu entered the fourth phase of recovery from October 25, which means that schools in Johor and Terengganu will adopt the resumption guidelines of the fourth phase of recovery from November 7.

According to a release from the Ministry of Education, November 7 is still a Deepavali school holiday, so primary and secondary schools in Johor and Terengganu will return to school in phases from November 8 onwards. Primary 1, 2, 3, Secondary 3 and 4 students will be the first to return to school.

Students in Primary 1 to 3 and Secondary 3 to 4 will return to school on a shift system from Monday, November 8. Students in Primary 4 to 6 and Secondary Prep to S2 will return to school on a roster basis from Sunday, November 14.

Each class will be divided into 2 groups, with the first group returning to students for the first week and the second group staying home for online classes. Classes will only be reversed in the second week.
