Apple introduces the new MacBook Pro family, which promises design and performance upgrades. It works with the M1 Pro and M1 Max, Apple’s new 10-core processors with eight “high-performance” cores and two “high-efficiency” cores.
Officially, the MacBook Pro has been redesigned for the 16-inch model. The entire device weighs 4.7 pounds and is 16.8 mm thick, with a 16.2-inch display and a screen resolution of 3,456 x 2,344 (254 ppi). The original Touch Bar has been replaced by a physical button, and there’s an HDMI port on the right side in addition to a Thunderbolt 4 port and an SD card slot, and a headphone jack and two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left. According to Apple, this is the most powerful connectivity we’ve ever seen on a Mac laptop.

As for the 14.2-inch MacBook Pro, it’s powered by Apple’s new M1 Pro and Max processors! In addition to the standard Thunderbolt port, more port options are also available, including bringing back an HDMI port and SD card reader, and adding a MagSafe 3 connector for charging.
It has a 14.2-inch 120Hz ProMotion display, which Apple has named “Liquid Retina Pro XDR,” with a resolution of 3,024 x 1,964 (254 ppi). It has thinner bezels than its predecessor, but also has a notch and a 1080p webcam inside, but no Apple FaceID system.
As for battery life, officials have revealed that the 14-inch model can run for 17 hours while playing video, while the 16-inch model can run for up to 21 hours. And they have fast charging, so you can recharge 50% of the battery in about 30 minutes.
With the official announcement of the latest MacBook Pro series, Apple Malaysia also officially announced the related prices.
