In order to make way for upgrading and maintenance works of key assets, the Selangor River Phase I Water Filtration Station will be suspended in the middle of the month. 998 districts in Selangor will face unstable or interrupted water supply from the 13th of this month, and the whole district is expected to resume full water supply on the 16th of this month.
Air Selangor today posted on its official Facebook page that the affected districts/areas include Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor. In addition, the report also said that there will be 998 areas in Selangor, will face unstable or interrupted water supply from the 13th of this month, the whole region is expected to resume water supply at 9:00 pm on the 16th of this month.
Air Selangor also explained that the implementation of the maintenance work was previously scheduled in 2019 and consequently in 2020. However, it was postponed due to water pollution incidents that had caused a large-scale unscheduled water supply disruption.
