Maxis is shutting down 3G network nationwide! Maxis has posted on 6th of October in Facebook that during the 6th of October until the 15th of December they are phasing out 3g networks.
Maxis has also posted a timetable for the phases of removal of 3g network, but deleted instantly. Currently it is still unknown why did Maxis remove the post.
Based on the post of maxis, Terengganu has already phased out 3g network on 6th of October,then in the 10th of October Kelantan will start phasing out 3g network, after that Pahangs 3g network will also be phased out at 21st of October, Melaka and Seremban’s 3g network will be phased out at 27th of October, Perak’s 3g network will be phased out at 2nd of November, Kedah and Perlis’ 3g network will be phased out on 10th of November. Saban and Sarawak 3g network will be phased out at the 17th and the 24th of November.
After the 3g network shut down, the telecommunication company will be turning all of the bands from the 3g network and upgrading it for the 4g newtork, this move will upgrade the current 4g network experience

Kelantan: October 13th
Pahang: October 21st
Negeri Sembilan and Malacca: October 27th
Perak: November 2nd
Kedah and Perlis: November 10th
Sabah: November 17th
Sarawak: November 24th
Penang and Klang Valley KV3: December 1st
Johor and Klang Valley KV2: December 8th
Klang Valley KLCC: December 15th
