Langkawi is the first area of the “tourism bubble” in Malaysia, and it will open to the outside world on September 16th!
Do I need a letter of approval/permit for “cross-state” travel?
Health Minister KJ responded:
On Twitter, KJ pointed out that only tourists who use land transportation to go to Langkawi need to apply for a permit at the police station before departure, so that they can display it when crossing the state and passing through the police roadblock operation (SJR). Visitors who fly to Langkawi do not need to apply for a permit from the police.
On the other hand, Datuk Seri Nancy Binti Haji Shukri, Minister of Jabatan Kebudayaan Dan Kesenian Negara, recently pointed out that tourists must apply for a police permit before departure and present necessary documents, such as air tickets, ferry tickets or hotel reservation receipts as proof.
Friends who want to travel should pay attention to these things to do ~
