According to the latest news, WhatsApp may not be available on phones running the older operating system. That includes older iphones and older Android phones. The measure will take effect on November 1, 2021.
WhatsApp’s minimum iOS requirement is iOS 10, which means iPhone users running iOS 9 or older will likely be unable to use WhatsApp. The affected iphones include the iPhone SE, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
Android phones running Android 4.0.4 or older will likely not be able to use WhatsApp. These include Samsung Galaxy SII, Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Huawei Ascend Mate, etc.
