Do you have any children are attending primary or secondary schools in Johor? The Johor State Government is giving a school reopen aid of RM100 to eligible pupils.

According to Minister of Johor, over 200,000 primary and secondary pupils from families with a household income of RM3,000-RM7,000 will receive a one-off payment of RM100.

This ‘Bantuan Awal Persekolahan’ (student aid) is launched by the Johor state government in the Johor Budget 2021 and is expected to benefit more than 200,000 primary and secondary students. Since the Federal Government has introduced a start-of-school aid to families with a monthly income of less than RM3,000, the start-of-school aid introduced by the Johor State Government is for families with a monthly income of RM3,000 to RM 7,000.

The RM100 aid will be distributed from next week, and before March. A  total of RM20.5 millions mock cheque was passed to JPNJ director, Shaharuddin Saari, at the office of Minister of Johor.

The purpose of this school reopening aid is to allow parents to purchase any necessary school supplies for their children, and to reduce the financial burden on the parents. This student aid will be distributed in two ways. Parents can go to school and collect the cash in person or remit to the parents’ bank account.
