Later, DAP Senior Minister Lim Kit Siang Political Secretary Syahredzan Johan confirmed that Lim Kit Siang was diagnosed with Covid-19 and pointed out that he is currently experiencing mild symptoms, including a cough.
In a statement, Syahredzan Johan pointed out that Lim Kit Siang’s COVID-19 test result was positive before attending Parliament this morning, and he was then tested by polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), which confirmed that he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
He said that Lim Kit Siang has been vaccinated and given a booster shot and that he is currently isolated according to the procedures of the Ministry of Health. He also apologized to the outside world on behalf of Lim Kit Siang: “I deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused.”
