5 Reasons Why Your Water Bill Is So Expensive
There isn’t much water used, but the water bill at home skyrockets. According to the Air Selangor, the sudden increase in water bills could be due to one of five factors.
Air Selangor previously published “Reasons for Soaring Water Bills (Punca-punca Bil Air Tinggi)” and identified five reasons for the soaring water bills.
The first reason is that the user has used more water than usual, and the user can only self-examine and reduce water waste.
A broken water pipe in your home is the second reason. Turn off all the water taps in your home and record the readings on the water metres to see if there are any broken or leaking water pipes. After waiting 10 minutes, you can recheck the water metre reading. If the water metre reading continues to rise despite not using water, there may be a break in the home’s water pipe.
The third reason is that the user’s home fence is locked, or the water metre is locked, which prevents the water supply company’s relevant personnel from obtaining the water metre readings, so the water bill is issued in a predictive manner.
The fourth method is for water company employees recorded the water metre reading incorrectly. If you encounter a similar situation, you can notify the water company.
The fifth method is that the water metre is damaged, and the user can also notify the water supply company of the problem.
