5 Ikea products you should avoid (Part 2)

Ikea has established itself as a beloved brand for stylish and affordable furniture and essentials as one of the world’s largest home-goods retailers.

In recent years, the Swedish retailer has experienced impressive growth as it continues to expand into new regions and territories. Today, it has over 300 stores in 38 countries and is a popular destination for people looking to furnish their homes while also munching on some of its famous meatballs.

However, given Ikea’s vast product assortment, it can be difficult to find the best deals. With that in mind, and with the assistance of numerous expert reviews and blogs, here are 5 products you should avoid.

1. Hemnes bedframe

Another instance of a pricing that could be a little bit too good to be true is the Hemnes bedframe. It  can’t bear much weight or movement.

2. Glasholm tabletop

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has received numerous reports about the Glashold tables after the item unexpectedly broke and injured people. Even the Ikea product page warns that “a chipped edge or scratched surface can cause the glass to suddenly crack or break”.

3. Klippan loveseat

It’s contemporary, lightweight, and reasonably priced, but eventually it failed because it wasn’t comfy.

4. Bekant sit-stand desks

This is not a sturdy option for your home office. It might take too long to adjust your workstation for the adjustability to be worthwhile.

5. Fixa cordless screwdriver

The Fixa cordless screwdriver may seem like a value at its low price, but reviewers are quick to criticise it. Many customers lament that it simply lacks the power to accomplish anything heavier than simple household jobs.
