4 banks to check which phones the account is tied to!

Recently, there has been a series of news about bank deposits being stolen in China, which has caused a lot of fear and anxiety. If you are in the habit of using a mobile app to log in to your bank account, then it is recommended that you check which cell phones your bank account is tied to.

 

If you find that your bank account is tied to an unfamiliar cell phone, then there is a risk that your savings will be stolen. If your bank account is still tied to your old cell phone, you can also choose to untie it.

 

All banks in China have mobile apps that show you which phones your bank account is tied to.

 

1. MAYBANK

To check which cell phones your Maybank account is tied to

Step 1: Open and login to the Maybank APP.

Step 2: Click on the three lines option in the top left corner.

Step 3: Click on ME.

Step 4: Select My Devices.

Step 5: The system will display the cell phones that are tied to your account.

Step 6: If you find an unfamiliar cell phone, you can click Delete.

 

2. CIMB

Check whether your CIMB Clicks account is logged in by unfamiliar cell phone

Step 1: Login to CIMB Clicks APP.

Step 2: Go to Settings function.

Step 3: Check whether there is any other cell phone logged into your account in the Other Registered Device section.

Step 4: If you find that there is an unknown cell phone logged into your account, you can slide left to delete the phone.

 

3. RHB

Check if your RHB account is registered by an unknown device

Step 1: Login to RHB Mobile Banking APP.

Step 2: Click the option function in the upper left corner.

Step 3: Select Security.

Step 4: Click Authorised Devices.

Step 5: If you find that an unfamiliar device has logged into your account, you can choose to remove the device.

Step 6: After removing the device, you will receive an SMS notification.

 

4. HONG LEONG BANK

To check which cell phones are tied to your Hong Leong Bank account

Step 1: Login to HLB Connect APP.

Step 2: Go to Menu.

Step 3: Click on App Settings.

Step 4: Select Devices & Notifications.

Step 5: The system will show you which cell phones your account is tied to.

Step 6: If you find that your account is tied to an unfamiliar phone, you can untie it manually.
