There are only 3 days left for the application for BKM. Those who have not applied or updated their information should hurry up!
In order to ease the living burden of the low- and middle-income groups, the government launched the BKM in 2022. Families with a monthly income of not more than RM5,000 and single persons with a monthly income of not more than RM2,500 can receive the BKM.
Applications for BKM are open from January 1 to January 31, 2022. If you have received BPR, BKC, or GKP assistance from the government in the past year, you can no longer apply if your personal information has not been changed.
As for your application for BPR, BKC, or GKP assistance last year, your information will also be automatically included in the review list for BKM. As long as you are eligible, you can receive BKM. Those who have not applied for government assistance will have until January 31 to apply.
Under the BKM scheme 2022, families with a monthly income not more than RM2,500 will receive RM1,000 without children, will receive RM1,500 with 1 to 2 children, and will receive RM2,000 for 3 children or above. Families with monthly income between RM2,501 to RM5,000 can get RM400 with no children, will receive RM600 with 1 to 2 children, and will receive RM800 with 3 children or more.
Single fathers, single mothers, widows, or widowed persons with child guardianship can also receive an additional RM500. In addition to the family group assistance, senior families with child guardianship can also receive additional RM300 assistance.
Seniors with a monthly income not more than RM5,000 will receive RM600 assistance, while single persons with a monthly income not more than RM2,500 will receive RM350 assistance.
The BKM will start to be distributed in March. Those who have not applied or updated their information can visit https://bkm.hasil.gov.my/.
