It is best to avoid listed companies in PN17 and GN3 before choosing a company to buy shares in. Companies listed in PN17 and GN3 are listed companies with problems.
Main Market companies that are in financial difficulty or have breached certain rules are included in PN17, while ACE Market companies that are in financial difficulty or have breached certain rules are included in GN3.
The Malaysian Stock Exchange has made it clear that any company that falls foul of certain regulations will be classified as a PN17 or GN3 company.
1.Total Equity is less than RM40 million and less than 25% of the Share Capital.
2. More than 50% of the total assets of the company will be taken over by someone other than the company, or wound up.
3. The auditor has an Adverse Opinion or a Disclaimers Opinion on the accounts of the company;
4. The company is unable to pay its debts
5. The company has no core business
