The Ministry of Education (KPM) announced the festive school holidays for primary and secondary schools in 2022 (Cuti Perayaan 2022). There are holidays for the three major ethnic festivals, the Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Deepavali. Among them, the Chinese New Year School can enjoy at least 6 days of holidays!
According to the 2022 primary and secondary school holidays issued by the Ministry of Education, the Chinese New Year can enjoy 6 days of New Year’s school holidays. The Chinese New Year in 2022 falls on February 1st and 2nd. Schools in all states in the country can enjoy the holiday from January 28th or 29th until February 2nd or 3rd. If the school takes an extra day off, you can enjoy a total of 9 days of holiday.
In addition, Hari Raya Aidilfitri in 2022 is expected to fall on May 3 and 4. The school will be closed from April 29th or 30th to May 7th or 8th for a total of 9 days. The 9-day holiday includes the Labor Day holiday, Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday and a weekend.
On the other hand, Deepavali 2021 falls on October 24th. Domestic schools can be closed from October 21 or 22 to October 25 or 26, a total of 5 days of holiday. This holiday also includes a weekend while schools in Sarawak can only enjoy a 3-day holiday.
